Welcome to TGS

Tororo Girls' School is a premier, all-girls secondary boarding institution, proudly government-aided and dedicated to empowering young women through quality education. Established in 1965, the school was founded as a special gesture from the United States Government, symbolizing its commitment to advancing girls' education in Uganda. This initiative was part of a broader global context, where the U.S. and Soviet Union engaged in educational support as a diplomatic gesture. While the Soviet Union established Busitema Agricultural College, the United States contributed by constructing Tororo Girls’ School, which was later entrusted to the Government of Uganda.
